Staff Accountant

job summary:

New opportunity at a large manufacturing company in the OC! We are looking for a Credit Analyst to join our growing team and contribute to a motivated team environment. The credit Analyst is responsible for new credit and extensions of credit through research & analysis of financial documents.

Essential Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support for the Monthly Closing Report(F/S,Cash Flow) and AR Aging Analysis

  • Credit Reviews and Issues Monitoring

  • Provides support for the Quarterly and Yearly Financial Audit Assistance

  • Analyze and control credit risk

  • Maintain credit control process

  • Setup and secure new accounts

  • Provide economic news and analysis to sales and management

  • Request AR insurance credit limit

  • Communicate with Customers regarding credit issues

  • Quarterly and Yearly Financial analysis for customer

Responsibility and Decision Making Authority:

  • Ensure all Accounting & Credit processes and polices are compliant with local, state and federal guidelines

  • Maintain accurate Credit/Accounting files with confidentiality

  • Tax Returns Review and Sales Tax Certificates, Interstate Tax issues, communicate with Big Account Firm tire fee tax, Federal Excise Tax, any other taxes related to tire business etc.


Qualifications/Competencies/Position Requirements:

  • Experience with analyzing and controlling credit risk

  • Reporting Research Results, Management Proficiency, Coordination

  • Must have attention to detail!

  • Able to work in fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Able to research and evaluate data to make informed decisions and solve problems

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
