Payroll Supervisor

  • Identifies and provides input to staffing needs.

  • Presentation skills: Competent in design and delivery.

  • Project management skills: Experience in handling multiple projects.

  • HR knowledge ? general awareness of various HR disciplines and understanding as it relates to payroll, benefits, taxation, accounting, employment documentation, employment and general HR practices.

  • Facilitation skills - leads and coaches a team through development processes. Communicates to a wide audience on the technical applications of payroll as applied to business and accounting.

Here is what we are looking for so you will be successful:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Four-year undergraduate degree preferred.

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in a related field required

  • 2 to 4 years prior payroll supervisory experience strongly preferred

  • General HR knowledge of labor practices pertaining to payday law and payroll administration

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs, and demonstrated ability to learn other application programs as needed?

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
