Description
As a Registered Nurse with California MENTOR, you'll work with individuals we serve in residential settings. We seek a dedicated, compassionate individual who can provide clinical care to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role you will utilize your skills to assess and ensure each individual's health care needs are carried out with the support of CNAs and LVNs.
Job
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, implement health care plans and respond to changes of condition
Communicate with Physicians and other external medical resources to ensure consistency of essential medical information and supports
Provide technical assistance, medical oversight and training of staff to ensure the effective implementation of all related services
Administer medications and provide documentation according to established guidelines
Provide input regarding health care services to be included in each individual's service plan
Monitor and ensure physicians' orders are documented and carried out as prescribed
Accompany individuals to routine and emergency medical visits

Qualifications:
What we require of you:
Current RN license in good standing with the state of California
Ability to carry out medical services to meet the ongoing needs of individuals served
Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
Must pass background investigation that includes FBI/DOJ fingerprint checks
A commitment to quality services and a culture of safety for those we serve
An ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with those we serve, their families, your colleagues, and the healthcare team
